I became interested in training bird dogs in 1998 at a Becoming an Outdoors Woman quail hunting workshop Lin taught. It snowballed from there. In 2000, when hunting pheasant in South Dakota, I fell in love with Smoke (Everedi’s Blazin’ Wildfire JH). I followed Smoke, only 7 months old at the time, through the field as she tracked and trailed a rooster pheasant. Smoke was Lin’s dog, but the bond between Smoke and I grew. Four years later I officially claimed Smoke as my first, of several vizslas. I decided to get a Brittany pup (Winnie) in 2000 and trained her to hunt.

I joined Lin with Everedi Vizslas in 2004 when Smoke had her first litter.
